Parents/Guardians of Laura Irwin Elementary students: Your child’s safety is our top priority and we take any threat or concern very seriously. At approximately 12:08 p.m. this afternoon, students were called into the building due to suspicious behavior of a minor individual outside the perimeter of the playground. Staff acted quickly to bring students inside and authorities were contacted immediately. Law enforcement responded right away and detained the individual. Through our coordinated efforts with staff, students and law enforcement, we were able to ensure the safety of all students and staff members on campus. We understand that incidents like these can be unsettling, and we want to assure you that we have protocols in place to respond effectively to such situations. Today was School Administrator Day!! ❤️🤍🖤Staff wore special shirts👕 in honor of Mrs. Seeley. The students gave her lots of hugs🫶 and high fives.🖐 What a great day at LIE!!💥💫
