It was another great week in STEM. Our students are so inquisitive and come up with amazing solutions. This week we retold stories by making a magnetic maze with kindergarten and 1st grade explored alternate ways to melt a popsicle. Of course we had to indulge in a sweet treat after all our hard work!

Pet pictures just have a way of bringing people together. It was so fun this week to look at all the pictures as they filtered in and were put on the poster. We loved celebrating National Dog Day and seeing all the special pets!š©·š¶š±šš®šš“šš¦š¦šš¹ššš©·

Let's fire up, Laura Irwin Elementary! During September you can earn a bag of hot chips for every chapter book or 3 picture books you read. Just go to the library and tell Mrs. Russell about your books and get a mini bag of hot chips. Then fill out a ticket to be entered into a drawing for a full-sized bag of hot chips. (all books must be read during the month of September)

What a great first week in STEM!
