It's Flaming Hot Reader month at LIE! Read 3 picture books or one chapter book, tell the librarian about them, and get a bag of hot chips!!

In September we send home applications for a public library card. This is an amazing way for kids to have accesses to thousands of resources. Sign and return the application to the school. The librarian will make sure the application gets turned in and the cards to the students.

AFTER-SCHOOL REGISTRATION & TRANSPORTATION REMINDER All online registration forms must be completed BEFORE your child begins attending any Beyond the Bell After-School Program activities. If your child will participate in morning programming, after-school programming, or our Friday program, a parent/guardian must complete the required registration forms before they attend. Transportation & Scheduling Information: On Fridays, buses will run before and after our Friday After-School Program for students who are eligible to ride the bus. Parents/guardians must contact the school office with the specific days and schedule their child will attend After-School. This is important so the school can update your child's dismissal plans and bus schedule and make sure students get where they need to go safely. Please remember that completing the online After-School registration does not replace notifying the school office of your child's attendance schedule. Completing registration and communicating your child's schedule ahead of time helps us coordinate staffing, transportation, meals, and activities. We are so proud of our Beyond the Bell 21CCLC campers for being featured in this week's Basin Republican Rustler! A special thank you to Barbara Anne Greene for visiting our campers, sharing about journalism, and giving them the opportunity to have their summer camp stories published. Parents, be sure to save a copy of this newspaper as a special keepsake and share your child's published article with family and friends. It's a memory they'll be able to look back on for years to come! We are incredibly proud of our young writers and all they accomplished this summer.

Fair Performance Reminder! Come out and cheer on some of our amazing Beyond the Bell After-School Program students as they take the Open Stage at the Fair this Friday, July 31 at 2pm! Our students have been working hard to present a fun and educational performance about America's Founding Fathers, and we would love to see our community there to support them. Thank you for encouraging our young performers as they build confidence, teamwork, and public speaking skills. We hope to see you at the fair! Your support means the world to our students!

Bring the whole family for a fun-filled morning of hands-on activities and opportunities to meet the amazing community helpers who serve Big Horn County! This is a wonderful opportunity for students and families to learn about the people and organizations that help keep our community safe, healthy, and thriving.

Greetings LIE readers! If you've been reading this month, it's time to log those minutes in Book Taco! Just 8 days left this month to put in all the hours you've been reading. Remember, if you turn in logs to the Basin Library, those minutes will count.

This week at Big Horn School District #4 21CCLC Summer Camp, our students put their survival skills to the test during Wyoming Survival Camp Week! From teamwork challenges to hands-on life skills, our campers learned valuable lessons about safety, preparedness, and working together. One of the highlights of the week was our Lemonade Challenge, where students worked in teams to create the best-tasting lemonade. A special thank you to our elementary principal for taking time out of their day to serve as our official judge! The creativity, teamwork, and enthusiasm from our campers were amazing to see. We are also incredibly grateful to our local paramedics who volunteered their time to teach our students important CPR and emergency response skills. Learning how to help others in an emergency is a life-saving skill, and our campers were engaged, curious, and eager to learn. Check out some of our favorite moments from Survival Week below!

21CCLC After-School Summer Camp Program. Catering to and providing meaningful experiences for such a wide age range of students—from kindergarten through 12th grade—can certainly be a challenge. But at Beyond the Bell, we believe every child deserves opportunities to learn, explore, create, and discover their passions. That's why we work hard to incorporate a little bit of everything for everyone! This week has been filled with incredible learning experiences thanks to our amazing community partners. Students explored healthy living and cooking with One Health, enjoyed reading and enrichment activities through the Basin Library, and discovered Wyoming's fascinating geology alongside local geologist Myron Cook. From hands-on science and outdoor exploration to literacy, life skills, and creative activities, our goal is to create opportunities that engage students of all ages and interests. Watching our youngest learners and oldest students discover new skills, ask questions, and grow together has been one of the highlights of the summer. A huge thank you to our families, staff, and community partners for helping make these experiences possible. Together, we're creating a summer filled with learning, adventure, and memories that will last long after camp ends! 💙

With the help of the 5th graders, the PreK class released butterflies today. The conservation distict gave a presentation and the PreK class watched the metamorphosis process unfold in their classroom. The painted lady butterflies 🦋 arrived just in the knick of time before the kids left for summer.

PreK grabbed their suits and floaties for their swimming excursion at the aquatic center in Worland!🤿👙🩳🩱They got to swim with a mermaid!!🧜‍♀️🏊‍♂️🏊‍♀️
