PUBLIC COMMENT FOUR-DAY WEEK
BHCSD#4 will have a Special Board Meeting on Tuesday, February 3rd at 6:30 p.m. to hear public comment on proposed application for a four-day school week. It will take place in the Commons Area at Riverside Middle/High School.

Last week our GR wrestling team went down to participate in the Clash at the Crossroads Boys came away with 4th place and our girls 2nd.

We’ve seen many students feeling sick lately. Some are too ill and should stay home, while others could manage the day but want to leave. If you child's illness prevents them from learning or could spread to others, they should stay home. Balancing attendance, learning, and preventing illness can be tricky! Call or email Nurse Katie if you have questions!

Please remember to call the office if your student will be absent.

A New Year at Big Horn County School District #4
A new year always brings a chance to reflect and reset, and as superintendent of Big Horn County School District #4, I’m excited about what lies ahead for our schools.
First, I want to say thank you. We are incredibly fortunate to have such outstanding students, it is so much fun to watch them learn, grow and represent this district, our staff—teachers, support staff, and administrators who show up every day focused on supporting students and helping them succeed. I’m also grateful for our Board of Trustees and their leadership and the trust and encouragement of our community. Our schools are stronger because of these partnerships.
My New Year’s resolution for the district is simple: keep moving forward. That means building on our strengths, being honest about where we can improve, and always keeping students at the center of our decisions. It will involve all of us working together toward the common purpose of strengthening our schools so that they serve our students today and in the years to come.
We have already done a great deal of work with our Board, teachers and students to gather information and identify priorities that will help guide our new strategic plan. That work has given us a strong starting point. Our next step is to broaden the conversation by hearing from parents and community members. We value those perspectives and welcome input on what our ultimate goals should be, how we move forward, and the direction our district should take in the years ahead. Please participate in our community/parent stakeholder meetings when given the chance.
Looking forward into 2026, I am excited about the future of Bgh4. We have a strong foundation with dedicated professionals, great students and a caring community. As we move forward together, my focus will be on listening, learning and making thoughtful decisions that benefit our students. I know that by working together and staying focused on our goal of continual improvement, we will continue to strengthen our district and ensure that it serves our students, families, and community well, now and into the future.

Riverside's 7th and 8th grade students had an amazing day at Antelope Butte skiing and playing in the freshly falling snow.

Hello, everyone, exciting things are happening at the Middle High Beyond Bell. We will be moving into our new room starting the first week back to school, on January 6th. This is the old Math room, which is across the hall from the Ag Department. We will all still go over to the LIE commons for a snack each day and walk over to the room together at 4 pm. If you don't want a snack, please make sure you follow this process anyway, as the door will be locked before 4 pm and there will not be anyone in there to let you in. We have enjoyed getting to know you all in this first half of the year at BTB and look forward to continuing this in the new year and maybe even getting to know a few new friends also.

’Twas the week before Christmas, and all through the school,
Not a teacher was stirring… till caffeine was cool.
Down the halls rolled a cart full of Christmas delight,
With coffee and Tree Cakes to make spirits bright.

Mr. Jensen rode by on a bike spreading good cheer,
Nurse Katie went tree-mode (face painted this year!)
Jeri wore gold and brought sparkle just right, ️
So thankful for staff who make every day bright!

Cade Bell signing his Letter of Intent for Montreat College in Montreat, North Caroline, where he will be competing in Track & Field.

The Farm and Agribusiness Management team competed against 49 other states and two US territories at the National FFA Convention. Three teammates having had competed in the state competition and one having never competed. These hardworking kids prepared all summer and fall and gave it their all yesterday!
Today we found out that they earned themselves the recognition of being a Silver Team! On the individual level Maycee McKim was Gold and Guadalupe Jimenez, Brendan Powell and Nicholas Olmstead were Silver!💙💛
The Paintrock FFA Chapter is so proud of these guys and their representation of our great state on the national level!
Way to go Rebels!❤️🖤
