Welcome to the Big Horn Country School District #4 Food and Nutrition Department webpage. Our goal is to serve nutritious, appetizing, and affordable meals to students. We believe that good nutrition is the key to learning and every child has the right to a nutritious, well balanced meal at the lowest possible price.
The food and nutrition program is an extension of school educational programs and is operated under the federally funded National School Lunch and School Breakfast Programs. Federal laws regulating the food and nutrition program are administered by the United States Department of Agriculture through the Wyoming Department of Education.
Our current meal prices are:
Breakfast: $1.35, reduced price $.30
Elementary Lunch: $2.35, reduced price $.40
High School and Middle School Lunch: $2.65, reduced price $.40
Adult Breakfast: $1.50
Adult Lunch: $3.15
Extra Milk: $.40
Applications for the Free and Reduced Program are available from each building secretary and at the district office.
If you would like to see the nutritional analysis for each meal they are available on this website under the food service tab.
If your child has allergy concerns, please contact our district nurse, Teri Stidolph, at (307) 568-2488. She will be able to answer any questions and also give you the appropriate paperwork that your physician needs to complete.
Parents, grandparents, aunt, uncles, or the whole family is welcome to come participate with your child in the lunch program. Please call the building secretary to inform her of your desire to eat with your child, as to make sure enough food is prepared.
